Senior Coach - Luke Kelly

We are pleased to announce that Luke Kelly has been appointed senior coach of the Leopold Football Netball Club for the next two seasons. Luke comes to us straight out of the AFL system with Port Adelaide this year where he has been an Assistant Coach under the Ken Hinkley coached Power for the last 3 years with a focus on stoppage/midfield and the clubs overall training and education program.

Luke is an accomplished coach with over 13 years of experience at the elite level with 3 clubs. Luke was at the GWS Giants across many different roles in his 5 years there, being VFL Head Coach, Club Development Program,

Defensive Coordinator and Senior Performance analyst and the GWS Giants Academy.

During his time at GWS Giants, he was awarded the prestigious Phil Walsh Memorial Scholarship in 2020. Prior to GWS, Luke was at the Western Bulldogs for 5 years ending in the 2016 AFL Premiership as a performance analyst. During his time at Western Bulldogs, he also worked as a coach with the Footscray VFL program.

Luke is currently relocating from Adelaide to Geelong.
